Sun Ae Kim is a creative thinker and a contemporary storyteller using ceramics. She is interested in how ceramics can capture everyday stories through a contemporary interpretation of the past and present.

After leaving the RCA, she co-founded the Studio Manifold, a group of nine artists and designers whose practice grew up alongside each other within the ceramics and glass studio at the Royal College of Art.

Sun Ae collaborated with the Alexander McQueen For the Paris Fashion Week 20011/12 and exhibited her works in the UK and worldwide, including the Orange County Centre for Contemporary Art in LA, the Palais de Tokyo and Musée d’Art moderne de la Ville de Paris.

Sun Ae is now based in London and Seoul. She set up her own studio in Korea called ‘The Biscuit Studio’ where she explores her personal projects, commissioned works, designs and collaboration works as well as continuing her research and writing.
