Designed exclusively for the Freud Museum London by Just Trade to celebrate the Tracing Freud on the Acropolis exhibition. This twisted bangle is inspired by snake jewellery in Freud's collection of antiquities. Snake jewellery was widely popular in Greek culture. Snakes were often associated with healing and the god Asclepius. They symbolised fertility and were intended to ward off evil.
Our Snake Twisted Bangle is handmade from brass. It is crafted by skilled artisans in Peru.
Just Trade works in partnership with small fair trade projects across the world. These projects offer life changing training, secure work opportunities and fairly paid employment for marginalised producers.
Every purchase supports the future of the museum.
